Cleaning

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasives, or anything containing ammonia or silicone. For routine care, a dry cloth is usually enough.

Moisture

Do not let water or other liquids sit on the surface. Wipe spills promptly. Extended exposure to moisture can leave marks or cause the wood to swell.

Heat and sunlight

Keep the piece away from direct heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight. Excess heat or UV exposure can dry the wood or shift its color over time.

Use

Use coasters or felt pads under items that may scratch. Wood can dent under concentrated pressure, so place heavy objects carefully.

Long-term maintenance

The finish can be refreshed as needed. If the surface looks dry or dull, clean it, let it fully dry, and apply a thin coat of a compatible oil-and-wax maintenance product following the manufacturer’s directions. Full sanding is typically not necessary unless the surface is damaged.
