Initial conversation

Every project starts with a conversation. We’ll start by discussing what you’re looking for in terms of function, size, style, materials, and budget. You can share sketches, reference photos, or just an idea.

I’ll provide a preliminary estimate in the form of a price range and explain the primary factors that will impact pricing.

Deposit payment

Once you’re ready to move forward, a deposit reserves your spot in the build schedule and kicks off the design work. The deposit is 50% of the estimated project total (final pricing will be confirmed after the design is complete).

Design

I’ll sketch a few concepts based on our conversations and share them for your feedback. We’ll talk through what you like (and don’t) until we land on a direction that feels right for you.

From there, we’ll refine the dimensions and design details until you feel it’s complete. Once everything’s set, I’ll share the final pricing and timeline for your approval before moving on to the Build phase.

Build

This phase begins with a trip to the lumberyard, where I’ll hand-select every board for your project.

In my workshop I’ll start by milling the lumber into flat, straight boards before building each component piece, working from rough forms down to precise details.

I’m happy to share occasional progress photos as the build progresses if you’re interested in seeing behind the scenes.

Final balance payment

Once the piece is complete, the final payment is due. I’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance along with payment instructions.

Delivery

Delivery to your home is included. We’ll arrange a time that’s convenient for you.

For built-in pieces, installation is also included.
