Inspired by the basalt columns of the Columbia River Gorge, these vases bring a subtle touch of the Pacific Northwest into your home.
Display a single bloom, a small bunch of botanicals, or any small natural element, living or dried. A glass tube sits within one of the columns and slides out for easy refilling and cleaning.
Even when the vase is empty, each piece serves as a small sculptural object, perfect for an open shelf or side table.
Available exclusively in White Oak. Finished with an oil and wax blend for a natural, tactile feel.

The story behind the product
The seed was planted a few years ago on a trip to Iceland. I was captivated by the basalt columns I saw all over the island – towering rock formations created millions of years ago as molten lava cooled and contracted into repeating hexagonal shapes.
They almost seemed man-made, yet they’re entirely shaped by nature.




Months later, while hiking at Coyote Wall in the Columbia River Gorge, I came across another striking basalt column formation and started thinking about how to bring the idea into woodworking
I built a prototypes and lived with it in my own home for a while. I found ....
